Modo & Yin Teacher
Cass’ yoga practise began when she returned back to Vancouver Island, Canada after
living an unsustainable life in Calgary, Canada for a year in 2014. Cass moved in across the street from Moksha Yoga Victoria (the Canadian-version of Modo) thinking that the studio would help her return to her dancer-physique. Little did she know, it sparked an interest of mindful movement, breath exploration and community she was longing for. The combination of movement in heat had Cass hooked on the Moksha/Modo series and studio culture. Cass quickly devoured heaps of philosophical yoga texts and at that moment she realised yoga was the real-deal. Yoga quickly became the missing piece Cass needed in her life to remain balanced.
Cass is most inspired by adventure, nature and pushing out of her comfort zone. She
has has completed multiple teacher trainings in Canada and Nicaragua which inspired her to take her practise to Sydney, Australia. She sold all of her belongings, packed her life into one backpack and headed down unda for the adventure of a lifetime in January 2018.
Cass’ classes aim to intertwine accessible philosophical elements while people
reconnect to their bodies with breath. Her classes focus on connecting people to how they feel in the present moment to break out of patterns and discover new joy of moving in their body. She encourages all students to listen to their body, enjoy the moment and crack a smile or two during class.
